Why did you decide to join Ivaldi for your internship?
I have a background from military logistics with experience ranging from helicopters in arctic conditions to hospitals in the Middle East. Regardless of location I have always encountered the same problem: critical parts will be needed, and they will be needed fast. Acquiring these parts are both difficult, risky and time consuming. When I came across Ivaldi and their vision to “send files, not parts” I immediately understood that this is the future. Not only for the armed forces, but for all industries by removing unnecessary and time-consuming transportation in the traditional value chain today.
I’m excited to experience daily life in a start-up and learn how to build and develop one from such a skilled team as Ivaldi. Furthermore, I’m really looking forward to getting a deeper insight on the future of on-demand manufacturing.
What is your expertise/ role?
I’m best at planning and executing logistical operations, but I have also worked on developing logistical solutions in SAP. In Ivaldi my main role will be to use my experience from logistics at hospitals to follow up on Ivaldis ongoing projects in that area.
How do you spend your time outside of work? What do you enjoy doing?
I love to get out of the city and into the mountains, and I use most of my spare time climbing or skiing. My plan is to use the weekends to explore as much as I can of the beautiful national parks in California.
