Meet the team: Jorge Ponce
How long have you been working at Ivaldi? How did it all start?
I started working at Ivaldi almost 4 years ago, in March 2017
Before I joined the team I was working as a mechanical designer for a Mexican start-up company developing electrolysis reactors that generated Hydrogen fuel on demand for the automotive industry.
I joined the Ivaldi team as a Mechanical Designer using my CAD skills, and design experience background. I had worked on the Mobile team, operating SingaporeLMC. Some of the activities I was in charge of were maintenance performance, calibration performance, pitching Ivaldi for WSS clients, field testing, , order fulfillment, and finding potential parts for our digital warehouse.
Currently, I’m the Design Process Owner.
What is your expertise/ role?
I’m a Mechanical Designer for Ivaldi MX. Some of my responsibilities being part of the digitization team are planning, designing, and improving/optimizing digital product development which is meant to be manufactured with AM technologies while working hand to hand with engineers. As a design process owner is my responsibility to maintain the design pipeline working smoothly and efficiently. Keep innovating and improving the system is one of the main priorities.
What’s your favorite part about working at the company?
I really enjoy working with people worldwide with many different backgrounds and abilities; this keeps me constantly learning and improving my skills in different aspects.

How do you spend your time outside of work? What do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy going outside either to bars, restaurants or outdoor activities where I can enjoy the company of my friends.
