Meet the team: Gro Dyrnes
How long have you been working at Ivaldi? How did it all start?
Since February 2021. I have known Ivaldi since the founding days as I worked with both founders and investors in my former role representing Norway as a diplomat in the US, and being the Norwegian trade promoting and inward investment agency, Innovation Norways, regional director in Americas.
I have always been inspired by Ivaldi’s thought leadership, vision and how their people interact with others. Curious, committed, passionate and respectful.
In February I joined Ivaldi investor Norselab, a Norwegian venture capital firm as a partner, and thereby “doubled my investment in Ivaldi when I joined as their CCO.
What is your expertise/ role?
As Chief commerial officer, my main focus is on strategy, business development, international leadership and operations.
What’s your favorite part about working at the company?
My favorite part about working at Ivaldi is that I feel as part of a bigger purpose. In addition, the pursuit of better solutions in collaboration with amazing people both in our own team and the customer side is something that I really enjoy. What we try to bring to the table is not an easy job, but it is very meaningful and, we believe, important.
What are the company’s values you stand for?
Commitment to deliver a triple bottom line results (people, planet and profit) to both customers, employees and investors. I love how Ivaldi is solution oriented and always looks for better ways, but with respect for how things are done today and why.
How do you spend your time outside of work? What do you enjoy doing?
I do enjoy a lot of different activities, like travelling, outdoor activities in nature and DIY projects.
What makes Ivaldi unique?
The team – I know a lot of companies say that, but when I joined Ivaldi I was truly impressed and inspired by the team’s diversity in all forms of the word. (60% women in management, 60% POC as examples).
