Meet the team: Carolina Hernández
How long have you been working at Ivaldi? How did it all start?
I’ve been working at Ivaldi for almost 5 years.
It all started when I was a Design Lead for the biggest OEM for retail furniture in Mexico for 2 years. I had my own home decor brand, but I wanted to change my career path to technology, especially 3d printing.
I applied and started at Ivaldi as a Mechanical Designer because of my CAD skills and technical design experience background. After the first year, I was part of the mobile team, operating Singapore’s LMC, maintenance performance, calibration performance, pitching Ivaldi for maritime clients, field testing, order fulfillment, and finding potential parts for our digital warehouse.
What is your expertise/ role?
For the last five years, I’ve been acquiring experience around additive manufacturing for industrial applications in different aspects of the life cycle product.
From identifying, analyzing, and understanding which parts are an excellent match for on-demand manufacturing, building business cases, digitizing the parts, manufacturing, quality control process, test field, and delivery.
I’ve been involved in setting up and improving quality processes and ISO certification.
And for the last two years, I’ve been the bridge between the commercial and operation department to identify pain points in the internal and external regards to find opportunities for improvement from end to end in our processes and customer journey to enhance our product offering.
What’s your favorite part about working at the company?
My favorite part about Ivaldi is that company values go beyond borders, collaboration, and teamwork.
What are the company’s values you stand for?
Employee empowerment: by supporting employees through training, experience on-field, and developing professional careers.
Work-Life Balance: I like how it’s a pretty embraced culture to balance your work and your life at Ivaldi since mental health and stress levels are essential to avoid for our health by balancing work and personal time every day.
Diversity: It’s amazing how we are located in multiple sites globally as a team that collaborates every day; there are no borders at Ivaldi.
How do you spend your time outside of work? What do you enjoy doing?
Since I was six years old, I’ve been involved in art school, so anything related to plastic arts, especially painting, brings me so much joy.
Also, I like learning new languages since speaking Spanish and English is part of my daily routine. I try to keep practicing my French, and I’m on my way to learning Italian.
Learning and exploring new things is what drives me in my free time.
What makes Ivaldi unique?
Unique team
